The 2014 event is cancelled due to construction at La Jolla Cove.

We are sorry to announce that construction activity at La Jolla Cove is causing us to cancel this year's event.  A good portion of the beach is not accessible and the entire grassy area above the Cove is fenced off for construction equipment.  We are hopeful that the changes being made by the city will make for an even better La Jolla Cove in 2015. Be sure to join us for NEXT year's event: Sunday, September 27, 2015!

If you're looking for another relay swim that benefits a great cause, we would encourage you to sign up for the Swim24 Challenge which supports San Diego Junior Lifeguard Foundation's water safety program.  You can "challenge yourself to save a child's life" on Labor Day weekend.  Details, including how you can earn a free entry to next year's 10 Mile Relay (by using promo code: COVE10), can be found at

Come out and get wet with your fellow swimmers for the 14th Annual La Jolla Cove 10 Mile Relay!  This event takes place in one of the most beautiful ocean swimming locations in the world, and is a great way to have fun while also giving back.  Organize a team of up to 5 swimmers or swim it solo.  This year's relay will benefit the American Diabetes Association and the San Diego Junior Lifeguard Foundation, and donations are encouraged.
